Aalto ARotor Lab

The ARotor laboratory is a full scale rotor laboratory with facilities to manufacture and investigate rotors of up to 25,000 kg. In close cooperation with our industrial partners, we have a history of large rotating machinery related research projects from three decades. Our activities include rotordynamic design, modelling and simulation; rotor manufacture; rotor geometry and rotor dynamics measurement in full scale; condition monitoring; and bearing and sealing systems.
