Doc+ is an Aalto-wide collaboration initiative by Aallonhuiput doctoral researcher association, Aalto Innovation Services, Career Design Lab, Doctoral Education Services, postdoctoral students, and faculty. Building on insight from Doctoral Career Surveys and leveraging several ideation workshops with Aalto doctoral researchers, we are addressing researcher-originated needs on enhancing work-life skills, career option awareness and collegial community development.

New learning opportunities coming in 2026 - stay tuned!
Together with Aalto faculties we are smoothly integrating new courses and learning modules inÄûÃʵ¼º½ doctoral curricula, linking all six schools in this collaboration. The courses highlight transferable career skills aspects and often feature "doctors to doctors" approach in which experienced scholars and business practitioners share their insight with the emerging ones.
Upcoming elective course themes include topics like designing a meaningful career, negotiation, facilitation and making research matter. We will also offer engaging activities with or without study credits like the Doc+ Dialogues panel discussion series. Career Cafes and Breakfast meetings on various topics (e.g. Balancing research and family) offer insight and foster further community activities around themes suggested by faculty and researchers themselves.
