Kiia Einola thinks that buildings should support the well-being of us all
Kiia Einola's study journey at Aalto University extends from bachelor's studies all the way to doctoral research. Summer job during her master's studies sparked Kiia's interest in smart building research. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation in smart building services engineering by collaborating with Helvar, a company specializing in electrical engineering.

Additionally, getting to know the service is now easier, as videos showcasing the learner's and administration's views of the interface have been released.

Department of Applied Physics Professor Olli Ikkala received his third Advanced Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) on 11 April 2024. The funding amounts to €2.5 million and the project will run for five years.

Olli Ikkala will continue his research on nature-inspired materials and will find himself again as an organist after his busy research career. Finnish universities have united their efforts in the Digivisio 2030 project to build the future of learning, with its first manifestation being the opin.fi website tailored to the needs of lifewide learners. The service is set to be released first as a beta version in fall 2024 and fully in spring 2025.
