Piloting the grading tool Gradescope
Aalto University is piloting the use of a new tool, Gradescope, for grading and assessing student work. Gradescope uses a rubric as the basis of assessment. Several teachers can grade the same assignment from the pool of submissions. The rubric can be made or adjusted on the fly, and Gradescope automatically updates already marked submissions. Gradescope is also able to make a similarity comparison of structured texts like computer programs.
