At course completion, you will:

- be able to participate with more versatility in conversations (making comparisons, requests and proposals)
- be able to find the main information you need on course topics
- be able to understand and write everyday texts (such as instructions and email)

Content

- Expanding vocabulary (related to e.g. traffic, consumerism, history)
- Expanding knowledge of Finnish grammatical structures: the -maan/-mään verbs (case government), conditionals, imperatives, comparative forms of adjectives
- Everyday conversational situations, information searches, reading and writing exercises

Online learning environment for the course & Activating Aalto ID

MyCourses online learning environment is a tool for both students and teachers for communication and managing everyday course work. Finnish 4 (LC-7240) or Finnish 3A (LC-7331)

Evaluation

Passing the course requires regular attendance, active participation in class, and completion of the assigned homework. The weight of the various assignments in the final evaluation will be specified at the start of the course.

14.1.-13.3.2025, teaching hours online on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 18.30-20

Teaching hours are not recorded. Students are expected to be present at the lectures.

Course examination will be held on Thursday 20.3.2025
Re-examination will be held on Tuesday 15.4.2024
