Mission & Goal
EIT supports the development of dynamic pan-European partnerships between leading universities, research labs and companies to develop innovative products and services, start new companies, and train a new generation of entrepreneurs.
These partnerships are known as EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KIC). The KICs main goal it to bring ideas to market, turn students into entrepreneurs and enable world-class innovation.
EIT KICs
Each EIT KIC focuses on a different challenge, sets its own strategic objectives, business plan while holistically builds innovation ecosystems through a portfolio of activities addressing the identified societal challenges and integrates Europe’s leading players in education, research and business.
There are currently six KICs bringing together more than 1000 partners.
