SisuSign service

Accessibility compliance status 

The SisuSign service complies in part with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WGAC) 2.1 at level AA. Non-compliances with the guidelines and possible exceptions are described below. 

Non-accessible content 

The content mentioned below is not accessible for reasons described in the WCAG and in Finnish legislation.
Non-compliance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019).

Email

• The language of page is unspecified (WCAG 3.1.1).
• The visual presentation of the downloading instructions does not correspond to their programmatic determination (i.e. how they are identified by software) (WCAG 1.3.1). 

SisuSign service

• The web page title does not describe the topic or purpose, and the title does not always correspond to the language of the page (WCAG 2.4.2, 3.1.2).
• There are shortcomings in language specifications in some elements of the website (WCAG 3.1.2).
• The language specified for the page does not always correspond to the content (WCAG 3.1.1).
• The user cannot anticipate or adjust the time limit of their session in any way (WCAG 2.2.1).
• The different parts of the page are not always indicated with a landmark (WCAG 1.3.1).
• The page is not always scaled correctly for a narrow screen (WCAG 1.4.10).

Degree certificate PDF

• The PDF document has no title or any programmatically determined structure (WCAG 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 2.4.2, 2.4.3).
• There are shortcomings in the visual contrast between the text and background (WCAG 1.4.3).

This statement was written on 20 May 2025.

It is based on a review by an external expert organisation (Eficode Oy), which assessed whether the compliance of the website with the requirements of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019).
