The Aalto Thesis Day events will bring together students interested in thesis projects and potential employers in autumn 2025. As a student, you will have the opportunity to plan your thesis through a diverse programme and by meeting with employers. As an employer, you can showcase existing thesis collaboration opportunities within your organisation or brainstorm new ideas together with students.

Student, are you planning to start your thesis (master’s thesis / pro gradu) during the 2025–2026 academic year and looking for an idea or a collaboration opportunity? Thesis Day events offer talks, workshops, coaching, and networking opportunities to support you in brainstorming and planning your thesis.
Employer, are you looking for talent and fresh perspectives? Thesis collaboration provides a valuable opportunity for both organisations and students to utilise the latest knowledge, co-develop solutions, and share expertise. At its best, thesis collaboration can be the starting point for a long-term partnership.

Writing a master’s thesis in collaboration with a company or another organisation offers an excellent opportunity to gain insight into working life and build professional networks in your field. International students who complete their thesis in cooperation with a company or research organisation are more likely to find employment in Finland after graduation.
During the Aalto Thesis Day events you will have great opportunities to practice presenting your skills and networking with employers from various fields.
The organisations participating in our events may not have ready-made thesis topics for you to choose from. Instead, discussions with them serve as a starting point for defining a research idea, and the exact thesis topic will be agreed upon in further discussions together with your supervising professor.
Think about research areas that genuinely inspire you. Do you have an idea for an interesting thesis topic that could be applied in a work-life context?
