Unite! University Alliance

Unite! is a European University Alliance funded by the European Commission. Aalto University is a member of Unite! together with eight other high-level European technical universities. Unite! will create a new model for European university education by strengthening the mobility of students and staff, and fostering the quality, inclusiveness and competitiveness of European higher education.

Unite! offers students unique joint programmes that combine multidisciplinary, multilingual and multicultural elements into common curricula and flexible study pathways. A strong focus is on developing more flexible, short-term mobility and virtual exchanges. To respond to major societal challenges, we will focus our educational activities in particular on energy, industrial change, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship.

The Unite! alliance is through a range of initiatives fostering educational activities amongst and within the nine partner universities. These endeavours offer added value by fostering international collaboration, simplifying administrative processes, and providing both teachers and students access to diverse resources and infrastructures. They are aimed at enhancing collaborative teaching opportunities, increasing attractive study offers for students, and help in further developing the inter-university digital campus

The Unite! alliance seeks to catalyse the research activities of its nine partner universities. We aim to offer added value by fostering international collaboration, simplifying administrative processes, and providing access to diverse resources and infrastructure. This is expected to enhance networking opportunities, increase the likelihood of external funding, and prepare young researchers for promising careers in academia and the private sector.
