Petra Hietanen-Kunwald (LL.D., University of Helsinki; LL.M., University of Helsinki; Mag.iur., Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck)
Petra Hietanen-Kunwald is a Senior University Lecturer with a strong academic background complemented by broad experience in legal practice. She is driven by the goal of making complex legal and interdisciplinary topics accessible, engaging, and meaningful in real-world contexts.
She teaches general business law, conflict management, entrepreneurship law, and research methodology. Hietanen-Kunwald has worked with both bachelor’s and master’s students and supervised theses at both levels. She also promotes lifewide learning by teaching professionals.
Her research focuses on systems theory, legal instruments supporting the sustainability transition, conflict management, dispute system design, and fairness in contracting and business collaboration. She is particularly interested in how legal knowledge and systems thinking can foster more just, sustainable, and adaptive business practices.
