Recruitment of Doctoral Students – from attraction to rigorous and inclusive selection

How can we ensure that doctoral recruitment is both internationally attractive and academically rigorous – while fostering a positive and respectful candidate experience throughout the process?

In this session, we will briefly outline the key principles of successful doctoral recruitment: how to design inclusive and attractive calls, what to consider in a transparent selection process, and how to assess candidates in a systematic way.

You will receive practical tips for inclusivity and attractiveness, screening applications and conducting structured interviews – supporting well-founded decisions and a positive candidate experience.
