Saari Manor - Beyond Sustainability
At its core, the project seeks to develop new ways of narrating the temporal and multispecies layers of the landscape, fostering an understanding of the deep interconnections between humans and nature.

, located in Mynämäki, is an international residency for artists and researchers, offering a peaceful working environment and a fertile meeting place for practitioners from diverse fields. In our collaborative project, the manor grounds serve as a platform for exploring and presenting the interactions between human and nonhuman agencies within the landscape.
The project challenges conventional landscape thinking and seeks new approaches in which landscape and humans are seen as an entangled and dynamic whole. The goal is to offer glimpses into processes of the landscape that extend beyond the human, and to encourage residents to attune to the temporal layers and multispecies assemblages present at Saari Manor during their stay.
As part of the project, the publication has been released. It serves as a guide for the residents of the manor but may also offer new ways of seeing the landscape to wider audiences.
