What is the Kielibuusti (Language Boost) project?
Kielibuusti produces practical, research-based models and tools for language learners, teachers, higher education institutions, and work communities. The project's outputs are compiled on the website, and the materials available on the site are open and free for everyone.
The Kielibuusti (Language Boost) project is part of a national Talent Boost project of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, which aims to improve the employment opportunities of highly skilled immigrants through various means. The project is carried out by Aalto University and the University of Helsinki in 2025-2028 as a continuation to the previous project period 2021-2024, during which the universities for applied sciences Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia also took part in the project.

Tackling the talent shortage with Finnish and Swedish skills - a Kielibuusti event
Kielibuusti project 2021-2024 has developed tools to help international talents to learn Finnish or Swedish. In addition to the language learners, Kielibuusti also has materials for language teachers, people working as career or study counselors and employers. In this event the focus is on the language skills needed in work life.
