In our research project we aim to collect public transport timetable data around the world, curate the data, and publish it in a variety of formats available to be used for both transit planners as well as network scientists.

Community detection in complex networks

Most networks are not homogenious, meaning that some sets of nodes are more connected among themselves than to the rest of the network. The aim of community detection is to study this mezo-scale structure and devise algorithms that would identify these sets of nodes.

A forerunner in service design, Master of Arts and Design Mikko Koivisto moved on from consulting to the energy industry where he works with the social issues brought on by climate change. Now he has a chance to work on customer experience development at the energy company Helen and tackle challenges related to the transition of the energy industry.

Advanced Magnetic Imaging Centre

AMI Centre maintains a research-dedicated 3T-MRI scanner, develops and maintains the related infrastructure and offers services to multiple research teams. Typical measurements at AMI Centre include functional and structural brain imaging or diffusion tensor imaging. In addition, AMI Centre develops new methods and applications of MRI technology.
