A new notice for industrial action has been issued to universities, conciliation continues

The main contracting organizations of the university sector, JUKO, JHL and Pardia have issued a notice of industrial action today on February 20, 2018.

The targeted industrial action will take place as a strike at six universities and the normal schools under them on March 7. 2018 from 0:00 to 24:00. These universities are Aalto University, Hanken, Tampere University, Tampere University of Technology, University of the Arts Helsinki and Vaasa University.

The most significant issues concern the level of the salary increases and certain amendments to the texts in the collective agreement. The negotiations between Association of Finnish Independent Education Employers and the employee representatives will nevertheless continue.
