14:00–15:45 Workshops: Developmental Organizational Culture

Aalto-yliopisto / Business Teatteri: Dare to feel! -The meaning of emotions, dialogue and interaction in organizational learning (in the context of higher education)

What kind of dialogue and interaction can help us through the thresholds of change? What is the role of developer and leader in the process? What are the ways to challenge people for a learning process towards an organization that supports personal development and wellbeing?

Business theatre uses methods that able us to take a deeper look into individual resistance by creating a “laboratory” where alternative ways of doing can be tested and tried out within the safety of playfulness. From practice-based doing perspective, when mirroring organizational life, the organization is not only being described, yet it is constructed in the interaction.

Actors of Business theatre will dramatize real life cases, and by doing that, mirror different personnel and psychological factors of an organization and its members. Workshop attendees can participate by giving the actors suggestions on how to solve the situations.

Learning objectives of the workshop: The goal of the workshop is to enhance one’s interaction skills and personal impact as a change maker in an organizational learning process. Attending does not require any previous experience or background in theatre.
