Aalto joint guidelines on examinations involve changes in examination arrangements
The new guidelines apply to all Aalto University schools with respect to examination arrangements and registration, and examination evaluation or grading. The guidelines will supersede the schools’ own guidelines.
A key change for students is that courses shall include an examination called ‘the course examination’. When a student registers for a course, he or she is automatically registered for the course examination as well. Students therefore do not need to register separately for the course examination, as they normally need to do for other examinations. In addition, students shall in future receive email confirmation of having registered for the course and course examination and for other tests or examinations.
The schools will inform students and teachers in August about the new examination guidelines and the changes they involve.
