The contact and recruitment fair Aalto Talent Expo Online (/en/talent-expo) was organized virtually between 12th - 14th of January 2021. The abundant fair program included 66 webinars, roughly 200 individual 1:1 meetings and over a hundred CV & LinkedIn -clinic, speed mentoring and portfolio review sessions. Exhibitors participating in the expo also posted job ads, summer job ads, traineeship positions and thesis assignments. The fair had tens of thousands of visits on different event pages and student participated in open events as well as events with registration. In the first two weeks of January, almost a thousand new students registered to JobTeaser! ()

鈥漈he 1:1 format really allows to get to know the company better and ask specific questions, as well as acquire a contact point (on LinkedIn for example) that can be useful later on when looking for a job.鈥

60 employer organizations were included in the virtual fair. Both students and employers were especially excited about 1:1 video meetings, where they could discuss career possibilities virtually without distraction. A large number of students also participated in webinars and the Summer Job Pitch event.

鈥滿ost of the webinars I attended were professionally structured and highly engaging. I especially liked the Summer Job Pitch event which very well compressed all the necessary information about the summer work opportunities at different employers鈥
