Aalto University Publication Series is getting a new look

Aalto has revamped its publication series, and with the updates, new templates will be available for the covers. The number of series on offer and the ways to order publications have also been updated.

The covers are being revised to match Aalto University’s new visual identity. The last updates were made in 2019, while the cover design itself dates from 2010. Designed by Aalto University Communications, the new cover templates will be launched in 2025. 

The following publication series will continue:

  • Aalto University publication series. Doctoral Theses. 
  • Aalto University publication series. Art, Design, Architecture.
  • Aalto University publication series. Business, Economy.
  • Aalto University publication series. Crossover.
  • Aalto University publication series. Science, Technology.

The written form of the titles will be revised. In every series, publications may be written in Finnish, Swedish or English.

The Aalto University Publication Platform, in use since 2010, will be discontinued and replaced by Unigrafia’s service package. The last day to place orders on the old platform is 30 November 2024.

Instructions on designing, ordering and printing are available on the Unigrafia website (unigrafia.fi).

Updated instructions will appear on the web pages by 2 December 2024.

Aalto publication series

The Aalto University publication series contain works related to university’s research, artistic activities and teaching. Aalto University must be the primary publisher of the work for it to be included in an Aalto publication series.
