Aalto University rises in QS university ranking
The QS World University Ranking published 16 September put Aalto University in 187th place compared to 196th place last year.
The ranking evaluates more than 800 universities worldwide. Finland had two universities in the top 200 with the MIT from the USA continuing to top the ranking.
In the QS World University Ranking, 50% of the score comes from a questionnaire on universities' reputation. In addition, it puts weight on research citations, student-staff ratio, and internationalization. QS does not take into account differences between disciplines in e.g. citation practices.
