Aalto University's cleaning service provider changes in Otaniemi and Töölö
Through the new agreement, Palmia employees will visit the facilities of the university in November and December. Lassila & Tikanoja Oyj (L&T) will continue as the provider of other property maintenance services. L&T will also continue as the cleaning service provider in university facilities in Arabia.
As a result of the new agreement, cleaning will, for example, be performed more frequently. In addition, an audit tool will be adopted to monitor the quality of cleaning on a monthly basis. “We select our partners on the basis of strict criteria. Our aim is to continuously develop and improve working and studying conditions on our campus. As a result of this new agreement, we will increase the level of cleanliness and systematically collect feedback on the quality of cleaning,” says Kari Haapamäki, Director of workplace and facilities at Aalto CRE.
In addition, every user can have an impact on indoor conditions. Following Aalto University's guidelines on occupational safety and health, users of facilities are not permitted to bring their own carpets, wall hangings, plants or pets to work areas (more information available from guidelines ).
Feedback on cleaning can still be sent to siivous@list.aalto.fi. The eSupport feedback channel will be introduced at the beginning of next year. More information will be announced to the personnel later.
