Applications for Fulbright grant programmes to the United States are now open
Grant programmes to the United States for master’s and doctoral level studies/research for the academic year 2027–28 are now open! The Fulbright Finland Foundation offers great opportunities for studies and research through their grant programmes.
The Fulbright Finland Foundation offers great opportunities for studies and research through the following grant programmes (Finnish citizenship required):
- for master’s level studies (max. USD 140 000)
- for master’s and doctoral level studies or research visits in fields of technology (max. USD 50 000)
- for doctoral studies and research visits in the fields of business, economics, and technology (max. USD 50 000)
- for master’s and doctoral level studies or research visits in variety of fields
In addition to the grant, these comprehensive programmes include the following benefits:
- A personal support service for finding suitable U.S. universities and for securing university funding and tuition waivers
- Extensive orientation training to U.S. culture, the higher education system, and details for the upcoming Fulbright period, including online materials, virtual meetings, and an orientation day in Helsinki
- Guidance and support services in Finland before departure and during the grant term in the U.S.
- The opportunity to develop professional and international networks
- Free visa for you and your accompanying family members
