Changes to the Registration and Cancellation Rules for the Open University Starting Autumn 2025

The registration and cancellation rules for the Aalto University Open University will change starting the autumn semester of 2025. These changes apply to course registrations made for courses starting on September 1st or later.
Under the new rules, you can request a transfer of your registration:
- Only once per registration,
- During the registration period for the current course
- To an available course with open spots
- Also for another person
Please note that requests are processed on a case-by-case basis, and we cannot guarantee that a transfer to a specific course will be successful. If the new course costs more, you will need to pay the remaining difference. The course fee is refunded only if Aalto University cancels the course.
Current registration and cancellation rules can be found on our website: Registration, payments and rules | Aalto University
You can find our course offerings here: Open University course list | Aalto University
Please read the registration rules before registering.
