Addis Institute of Technology (AAiT), through the Addis Ababa University (AAU), has signed a service contract agreement with ethio telecom, the sole telecom service provider in Ethiopia, to launch a new Master of Science Programme in Telecommunication Engineering.

The signing ceremony was held on March 28, 2016 in Hilton Addis Hotel in the presence of Government Ministers, ethio telecom and AAU board of directors and management members as well as invited guests. Amongst the invited guests was a representative from Aalto University, the coordinating partner HEI ICI ENhANCE project.

The overall objective of the agreement is to educate students in Master’s Degree Program in two specialization tracks of Telecommunication Engineering, as well as, facilitate, equip and supervise students to undertake research in their respective disciplines.

AAU/AAiT has pledged to provide competent and quality Master’s Degree Education in the fields of Telecommunications Engineering and will engage the required professional, personnel and put in place the technical resources needed to smoothly run the Programme. AAU/AAiT has pledged to seek for further collaborations with global institutions and partners to support the Programme’s teaching and research.
