Jens Zander became an Honorary Doctor at Aalto University

Zander has actively collaborated with Aalto University through joint projects and hosting research visits.

He has also acted as an opponent for several doctoral theses.

– The Aalto University is a very prestigious university and also an important partner for us which makes this Honorary Doctorate highly appreciated by me and by other researchers at KTH. We are working together with Aalto University on several high profile research projects, said Jens Zander earlier this year when the conferment was official.

He is the Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology at KTH, in Sweden. His special field is wireless systems.

Zander is a co-founder of the Center for Wireless Systems at KTH, where he is currently serving as Scientific Director. Professor Zander is a member of the Swedish Academy for Engineering Sciences and a board member of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority. His present research interests include the architectures of and resource and spectrum management regimes in wireless systems, as well as economic models for future wireless infrastructures.

Jens Zander was conferred as Honorary Doctor at Aalto University on 10 October 2014.
