Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Aalto-Primo

Starting on Monday 15th Sep 2025, the library collection database Aalto-Primo (primo.aalto.fi) will require patrons with Aalto credentials to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) for logging in from outside the Aalto network. When logging in from Aalto internal network or Aalto VPN, MFA is not required. MFA will not be implemented for non-Aalto patrons.

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is already widely in use on many services at Aalto University. Please find more information about MFA here:
