Personal data portal opened

The EU General Data Protection Regulation guarantees rights to anyone whose personal data has been collected by the university. The individual has the right to know whether the university is processing personal data concerning him/her. In addition, he/she has e.g. the right to have their inaccurate data rectified or even erased. The extent of the rights varies according to the legal basis on which the personal data was collected.

The controller, e.g. Aalto University, must facilitate the exercise of the rights of the data subject. To this end, the university has introduced a .

Requests under the GDPR concerning the processing of personal data can be submitted through the portal. However, regular service addresses for different services will still be used primarily for contact information changes and other routine changes.
