Prizes given out for doctoral theses

The Department of Applied Physics awarded prizes to Miikka Heikkinen, Patrick Grahn, and Ville Maisi.

The Department of Applied Physics of the School of Science presented awards to the best doctoral dissertations of 2014 in a ceremony held in December. The winners were Miikka Heikkinen for his dissertation , Patrick Grahn for his dissertation , and Ville Maisi for his dissertation .

This year's winners were selected by Professor Patrick Rinke. The prize is worth EUR 3,000.

Student artwork symbolises the Unite! Alliance

Master of Arts student, Suthasinee Naktnasukanjn (Sine), has won the Unite! artefact competition with her artwork ‘Blooming Beyond Borders’. The piece now hangs permanently in the Undergraduate Centre.
