Professor appointments at the School of Business

Prottoy Akbar, Pablo Warnes, Erkki Vihriälä and Christoph Huber will start in their new positions on 1 August 2024.

The Dean of School of Business Timo Korkeamäki and the Dean of School of Engineering Kari Tammi have appointed Assistant Professor (1st term) Prottoy Akbar to Assistant Professor (2nd term), starting on August 1, 2024. The field of the tenure track professorship is transportation policy/transportation economics. The professorship is joint with the School of Business and the School of Engineering. 

Dean Timo Korkeamäki has also decided on the following appointments, starting on August 1, 2024:

  • Assistant Professor (1st term) Pablo Warnes to Assistant Professor (2nd term). The field of the tenure track professorship is economics. 
  • DPhil Erkki Vihriälä to Assistant Professor (1st term). The field of the tenure track professorship is finance. 
  • PhD Christoph Huber to Assistant Professor (2nd term). The field of the tenure track professorship is finance.
