Professor Sergiy A. Vorobyov named IEEE Fellow
Professor Sergiy A. Vorobyov, Dept. Signal Processing and Acoustics, Aalto University has been named an IEEE Fellow active from January 2018. He is being recognized forcontributions to optimization in robust signal processing. His research results have been adopted in a number of practical antenna, radar and communication systems, and leaded to significant advancements of the theory and practice of optimization for signal processing. He is a recipient of several research awards from IEEE, Canada, and Germany.
The IEEE is the world’s leading professional association for advancing technology for humanity. The IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The total number selected in any one year cannot exceed 0.01% of the total voting membership.
