Raili Pönni appointed Head of Planning

Raili Pönni DSc (Tech) has been appointed Aalto University's Head of Planning starting from 1 January 2018.

She will be responsible for support services for the university's strategic management, management information services and quality system. Pönni will also be responsible for the renewal of the university leadership's annual clock, as well as for coordinating the preparation of the university's strategy and developing its implementation. She will work in the Leadership Support Services and report to Development Director Sirkku Linna.

Raili Pönni will transfer to the new position from her role as Development Manager for the Aalto University School of Chemical Engineering, a position she has held since 2015. Prior to this, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher and a doctoral candidate at the Department of Forest Products Technology. She has also been a part-time teacher at the University of Helsinki from 2012.

'There are currently significant strategic development projects underway at the university, and I am very pleased that we got Raili to take on this demanding position to support us going forward. She has strong expertise in strategic planning as well as excellent track record in cooperating with various stakeholders to advance processes,' Sirkku Linna states.
