Renewed wellbeing in teaching site to support wellbeing of the community
Wellbeing in teaching site was created last sping to support the wellbeing of the community. Now, it has been renewed to give more concrete ideas how to improve the wellbeing in teaching. The relaunch of the site is today October 5th, on World Teachers day.

Pedagogical wellbeing entails both teacher and student perspectives. These pages serve as a teachers' reference and study package for improving wellbeing in teaching and studies at Aalto.
Wellbeing in teaching looks at the wellbeing consept in a multidimensional way. Important are both students' study wellbeing and teachers' work wellbeing. Both of them can be supported through being aware of what supports wellbeing. Individuals who feel well are then able to contribute to each others' and the community wellbeing. I interviewed two Aalto University instructors who have used glossaries created by students as coursework in a subject course and a field-specific language course. The assignments are based on active learning methods: the glossaries are not created by the instructor, but by the learners themselves. The interview focused, among other things, on the teaching philosophy behind developing the glossary tasks, how the learning of field-specific vocabulary can be linked to the overall learning objectives of the course, and what technical solutions enable students’ active learning in glossary assignments.
