Sami Itani joins the Department of Management Studies at the School of Business as Professor of Practice

His focus areas are socio-cultural sustainability, especially diversity and inclusion.

Sami Itani joins the Department of Management Studies at Aalto University School of Business as Professor of Practice on 1 November 2021. His focus areas are socio-cultural sustainability, especially diversity and inclusion. 

Sami Itani attained his doctoral degree from Aalto in 2016 and his research focused on human resource management within multinational corporations. From 2016 to 2021 he worked in the world’s leading staffing service provider, The Adecco Group, in several management roles, for example as HR director and CEO of Adecco’s Finnish operations.

Sami Itani is a former professional athlete and has been the president of Finnish Athletics Federation since 2019. He has published two books on leadership in business and sport organizations.
