My name is Kaisar Bilal and I am a 20-year old student at the Aalto University Mikkeli Campus. I was born in Semey, Kazakhstan which is in the east part of my country. I can speak Kazakh and Russian. I have also lived in Saint-Petersburg, Russia for 2 years. I enjoy doing sports like football, table tennis, and chess.

Why did you apply to our BScBA Program?

After 12 years of school, I knew that I did not want to stay in one place. I wanted to go to new places and meet new people like I did when I was a child. I narrowed my university choices down to business schools as I am interested in entrepreneurship. After highlighting the pros and cons of numerous schools, I was sold on Aalto for its high university ranking.

How has your study experience been so far?

Now, I am a 2nd year student and very pleased with this university. I did not realize how such a small city could be so exciting. People here are very polite and sociable despite the stereotype that Finnish people are introverts. Learning business and a new and totally unfamiliar culture has been amazing.

Why would you recommend the BScBA Program to others?

I would like to recommend Aalto University to all my friends. The educational system is developed in a way that you can study with hardly any stress! It has been an eye-opening experience for me and Aalto University has changed my idea of the studying process. For me, school often meant 'no time to relax' but the BScBA community: professors, students, and Finnish vision have taught me that studying is fun and manageable.

How has studying in our program and living in Finland shaped you as a person?

I am different from the guy who arrived at Mikkeli more than one year ago. I now know a lot more about time management and how to use it in a practice as nowadays I do not run late anymore. I have also gradually been learning Finnish and developing my English skills. Moreover, I have made lots of unique and kind friends. For all that I want to say thanks to the lovely Aalto University and the BScBA Program!
