Strikes in Jan-Feb: Impact on studying and student services
Unless otherwise notified by the teacher, teaching and examinations on Thursday, 1 February, will be held normally. Due to the strike on Friday, 2 February, teaching will be held online or in hybrid mode. Any supervision or assessment appointments or similar meetings may be held as agreed between the parties, either remotely or on campus.
In principle, a teaching event cancelled due to the strike will be replaced by a remote teaching event or a lecture recording if the teacher thinks that this is necessary to ensure that the learning outcomes of the course are attained.
In the event that an examination or midterm test is cancelled, a new time will be scheduled as near the original time as possible. An exam may also be postponed to a previously planned make-up exam date if that date is reasonably close to the original date and the postponement does not cause the students unreasonable inconvenience.
Essential student services, such as the Learning Centre, the Starting Point service desk and the Starting Point of Wellbeing, will be open as usual.
