The FITech study offering for summer has been published
Almost all of the FITech summer can be studied online and completely self-paced which makes is easier to schedule them among your other summer plans.
Besides Aalto University, the courses are offered by LUT University, University of Oulu, Tampere University, University of Turku, University of Vaasa and 脜bo Akademi. Additionally, University of Helsinki and University of Jyv盲skyl盲 offer 5G studies.

Course picks from the Aalto University鈥檚 FITech study offering
This course provides participants with the basic knowledge of project management and project business. The purpose of the course is to teach the principles of project business and especially the concepts and methods of managing a single project. The course can be in completed either in Finnish or in English. Application period ends on 14.5.2023.
This online course offers a hands-on introduction to some widely used methods in machine learning (ML). Students will learn how to apply ready-made ML methods in the programming language Python to 鈥渞eal-world鈥 problems. The course requires basic knowledge of mathematics and basic programming skills in e.g. Python. Application period ends on 21.5.2023.
After completing the course, the student knows the basics of C programming language and can independently write short programs using the C language. The course is organised as self study and requires basic programming skills. Application period ends on 24.5.2023.
Learn more about circular economy from the point of view of energy storages and get to know the whole life cycle of different solutions. The course is suitable for anyone with a BSc in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Application period ends on 4.6.2023.
This course focuses on advanced topics of project management from the strategic viewpoint and value creation perspective. Responsibility and sustainability in projects and project networks are also covered. The course requires basic knowledge of project management or previous experience in project management. Application period ends on 6.8.2023.
Last year to study FITech ICT courses free of charge
The ICT courses offered by FITech have been very popular throughout the past years. Thanks to the funding granted by the ministry of education and culture, these studies have been free of charge for all Finns and people living in Finland. However, the funding cycle will terminate at the end of this year. This means that the current ICT courses will remain free of charge only until 31 December 2023.
So, if you want to learn more about programming, cybersecurity, machine learning or other popular ICT topics, now is the perfect time to get to know the study offering and make learning your new summer hobby.
There will be one more chance to study the ICT courses free of charge in the autumn as the next application period will start on 1 June 2023.
Other projects (energy storage, 5G technology and hydrogen economy) will continue as planned on current funding cycles even after this year. The operations of FITech Network University as a whole will also continue as usual.
