The green transition, digitalization, and geopolitical shifts impact the audit environment

The European Court of Auditors (ECA) and the Aalto University School of Business are organising the Summer School on auditing and accounting in public administration to equip professionals with the best possible skills to adapt to the demands of a rapidly changing world

After several successful editions of the European Court of Auditors’ (ECA) Summer School in Pisa and Luxembourg, the conference returns to unite auditors, civil servants, and researchers from across the EU to discuss the topics that shape the environment of public auditing. This year, this conference will be organised in cooperation with the Department of Accounting and Business Law of the Aalto University School of Business at the School of Business in Otaniemi on 3–5 June 2025. The organisers of the event will be chaired by Professor of Accounting, Department Head Jari Huikku.

The Summer School will feature presentations from some of the most prestigious speakers. These include Petri Sarvamaa, Member of the European Court of Auditors, Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-president of the European Commission and Commissioner, Elina Valtonen, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Timo Korkeamäki, Dean of the School of Business.
