The Oskari Vilamo Fund awards 2022
The doctoral dissertation award went ʵ University's Ashish Mohite (Department of Civil Engineering), Arttu Julin (Department of Built Environment), Tuan Nguyen (Department of Civil Engineering) and Christoffer Weckström (Department of Built Environment).
The amount of the grant is 3,500 euros.
The master's thesis award went to Rolf Autio (Department of Architecture), Milla Kiiskinen (Department of Civil Engineering), Elis Kivi (Department of Civil Engineering), Jaakko Torvinen (Department of Architecture), Elli Wendelin (Department of Architecture) and Anna-Elina Vilén (Department of Built Environment).
In addition Mikko Pura (University of Oulu) and Tuukka Teivaala (Tampere University) were awarded .
The amount of the master's thesis award is 2,000 euros.
The Oskari Vilamo fund, which is part of the Business Education fund, annually awards the best theses completed in the previous year. The purpose of the fund is to promote higher research in construction
Oskari Vilamo Fund - developer of the construction industry
The purpose of the fund, which is part of the Business Education Fund, is to promote higher research in construction. Lemminkäinen founded the fund in 1985 and named it a key figure in the company's history after financial advisor Oskari Vilamo. YIT has supported the fund since 2018.
The foundation has been awarding thesis prizes since 1993. To date, it has awarded 72 doctoral dissertations, 20 licentiate degrees and 161 master's thesis, including the 2022 awards. For more information (in Finnish):
