The recruitment of Vice President for Education has started
and a recruitment process to find the next Vice President for Education has started (see the > aalto.fi). The nomination decision will be made by the University Board in its June meeting and the appointed person is expected to begin his/her work on September 1, 2018.
‘Eero has served as the Vice President for Education from October 2014, and before that he worked in versatile and demanding tasks in Aalto and its predecessor. We owe a lot to him for his great contribution to the advancement of learning, teaching and student wellbeing in Aalto University. The bar has been set high by Eero, and the university needs innovators like him. The recruitment process to get a new Vice President for Education has been started,’ says Ilkka Niemelä.
A recruitment committee has been formed to carry out the recruitment process of the Vice President for Education. The committee is diverse with broad expertise from different aspects of teaching and learning. All of Aalto University schools as well as our students are represented in the committee.
