Urban events hacked!

Aalto City Science Lab participated in Junction 2019 on November 15-17.
Junction 2019 Team Discover

This year, Junction was a success for CSL @Aalto - a total of 16 teams delivered the demo or application. Thanks for all teams of their inspiring work and solutions!

The winner team Discover created a networking game based on Aalto open wifi data. The application analyses in real time wifi users who have spent time together and visualizes best networkers in informative way. The tool helps in creating more inclusivity in events and could be utilized in venue planning. Other award winning teams as well created insightful solutions: The Thrashers applied a diffusion model on wifi users and Hack The Flag team created another location based game.

Prize winning teams in Urban events under hack challenge:

1.      Team Discover - Peter Lakatos, Miklos Knebel, Gergely Bihary, Kristóf Nagy

2.      Thrashers - Anna Bataeva, Mikhail Sveshnikov, Ivan Lukomskiy, Olga Silyutina

3.      Hack The Flag - Michael Fujarski, Jonas Schiefner, Felix Seidel, Kai Hartz
