Alumni Engagement Manager

We are looking for a visionary professional to join us in building a thriving international alumni community, which brings lifetime value to its members.
Your role
As Alumni Engagement Manager, you will promote the development of an inclusive alumni community, help alumni network, participate, learn and give back to their alma mater.
Your responsibilities will cover planning engagement strategies tailored to meet the needs and interests of alumni at different stages of their lives, coordinating the university’s interaction with alumni in Finland and abroad, for example, organizing get-togethers and bigger alumni community events, providing alumni with opportunities to join the university’s activities as well as support the university through donations and other ways of giving back.
You will be part of the Alumni Engagement team and work closely with the Donor Engagement team, which together form the university's Advancement Services unit. You will also collaborate with Aalto’s six schools and other university services, particularly Communications, Global Engagement and Learning Services. Supporting the activities of Alumni Network Board and alumni organizations is also an essential part of your work.
You are ambitious and a strategic thinker who enjoys working in a hands-on environment. You are skilled at delivering projects and tasks from start to finish, both independently and as part of a team. You are a natural networker who has a solid understanding of community building and engaging people. You are skilled at planning and organizing meetings and events, encouraging collaboration and inspiring people from diverse backgrounds. Your way of working aligns with our values of responsibility, courage, and collaboration.

The Aalto campus is an inspiring environment to work with talented and motivated people in our community. The position is permanent, with a salary of EUR 4100-4800 per month, depending on the candidate's previous experience.

higher education fundraising or a related field in philanthropy

designing and organising encounters, from local get-togethers to bigger events

utilizing digital platforms and social media in community building and networking

marketing communications and creating narratives

Managing data, CRM and data analytics

A university degree.
Fluency in written and spoken English. Other languages are an asset.
Strong collaborative and interpersonal communication skills.
