Our research focuses on Materials physics; Quantum technology; Soft & living matter; and Advanced energy solutions. Topics extend from fundamental research to technological applications. Coordinator
We are now looking for a coordinator to work with us to reach our goals. Your role and goals
In this role, you will handle a range of tasks that are essential to the department’s daily work. You will keep key processes running smoothly, support our academic staff, and coordinate internal communications to help maintain a clear, collaborative working environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that daily operations within the area of responsibility of this role run smoothly and efficiently

Independently organizing workshops and events, taking full ownership of their success as well as taking part in organizing some larger departmental events together with others

Assisting in the creation and refinement of departmental strategy materials
-
Engaging in communications work
-
Collecting and compiling crucial information such as preparing a monthly research summary

Organizing, preparing the agenda and meeting notes for the departmental regular meetings, such as management team and Faculty meetings

Supporting in other departmental processes, such as in purchasing, as needed
In addition, this role involves working closely as a partner with the department's academic coordinators and collaborating with other departmental services, such as financial services. You will interact daily with research group leaders, researchers, and other members of the academic community, while also maintaining contact with various service providers.

Experience in organizing events, in the Finnish academic context and in Finnish language proficiency are considered an asset.
What we offer
Ideally, the candidate will be available to start on 1st April 2026 with the position being a fixed-term parental leave substitution available until 31st May 2027. While this role is temporary, our organization frequently has permanent openings, making this position a potential stepping stone to further career opportunities. The salary range for this position is approximately 3000-3300 €/month.
