Researchers at the School of Engineering create new knowledge on energy and mechanical engineering, the built environment, and civil engineering.

Research at the School of Engineering is about studying and developing society’s critical infrastructure: new energy solutions, more durable and efficient machinery, and the design and construction of tomorrow’s living environments.

Research work is organised into research groups operating under the school's departments. Pioneering research is made possible by a staff of international experts and world-class research infrastructure located in Otaniemi.
