Aalto University wants to keep in close contact with professors emeritus/emerita, invite them to different events and receive feedback on its operations. The university wishes that professors emeritus/emerita would still visit the campus. To enable this, the university provides a meeting place, where they have a chance to meet other Aalto community members and where they can bring their own guests.
The Emeriti Lounge is located on Otakaari 1 (Undergraduate Centre), in the office of the former president. The room is for meeting colleagues or guests. In the room you can use, for example, a workstation and coffee machine, and find topical Aalto material. The door to the room is kept unlocked; if necessary, the doors to the corridor can be opened using an access card. We monitor the use of the room and how it functions, so please leave your greetings in the guest book placed in the Emeriti Lounge.
