- Student

During the first ever Aalto Talent Expo Virtual Week, students and employers met virtually at close to a hundred separate events. The program included webinars, 1:1 meetings, small group meetings, chat sessions and more traditionally a CV & LinkedIn -clinic, speed mentoring sessions and portfolio reviews.
Everything from registrations to the actual sessions ran quite smoothly, though the number of students participating was lower than what we originally hoped. The events of the virtual week had close to a thousand registrations with hundreds of students from all Aalto schools joining in. The platform for the virtual week as JobTeaser, which will become the primary channel for student communication for Career Services in November. Further information can be found here:/en/careerweb.
Especially 1:1 meetings, webinars, CV & LinkedIn clinic and speed mentoring sessions were described as useful by students. The most popular individual event was the discussion panel "Survival Skills in Finnish Working Life", where international Aalto alumni discussed the characteristics of job hunting and working life in Finland.

The physical Aalto Talent Expo event is currently planned for January 2021, but virtual options are considered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If a physical fair is not possible in January, the experiences from the virtual week are utilized heavily when planning a virtual fair. We welcome all to join us in early 2021!
