The nationwide Digivisio 2030 programme is progressing to the next stage as the first pilots are launching. Digivisio is a joint programme between all Finnish higher education institutions that aims to build an ambitious learning ecosystem, even on an international scale.

Aalto University participates in one of the early-stage pilots, experimenting with an informal and flexible learning tray. Informal learning offerings can include, for example, courses not leading to a degree, webinars, podcasts or anything in between. Five higher education institutions are participating in the pilot in addition 柠檬导航 University. The other pilot focuses on user identity management.

鈥淎alto University has been aware of the significance of informal learning in lifewide learning for quite some time. That is why focusing on developing new learning content is so wonderful. For example, small modules that only last for a couple of minutes and can be incorporated into your everyday life are waiting for their creators.鈥 says pilot coordinator Kiti Kainulainen

The pilot started in October 2022 and will last approximately a year. Meanwhile, Aalto University develops its own informal learning offering and learns more about recognising the existing offering and presenting it to learners on a shared platform with other higher education institutions.

鈥淒igivisio continuous learning tray is an excellent tool for boosting Aalto University鈥檚 lifewide learning offering, starting from the informal learning format. Digital learning implementations are reconfigured and Aalto University has the chance to develop learning solutions that are competitive both nationally and internationally.鈥 says Laura Sivula, Business Area Director for Lifewide Learning
