The construction of the light rail in Otaniemi is progressing well. Due to the track works, the connection for walking and cycling on the east side of Otaniementie from Otaranta to Kuusisaarentie will be closed at the end of week 33. Depending on the works, the closure is expected to last until the beginning of 2022. The connection will be maintained on the west side of Otaniementie and the crosswalk will be moved to the Otaranta junction during the arrangement.

Work will primarily be carried out between 7 am and 6 pm on weekdays. We may perform some less noisy work in the evenings between 6 and 10 pm, at weekends and on mid-week holidays.

Jokeri Light Rail will start operation in June 2024.

More information on the progress of the work can be found at .
