The MA-graduation film "Wendy and the Refugee Neverland" by Olli Ilpo Salonen, has been nominated for Jussi Prize 2018 for the best music in film. The music is composed by Tytti Arola, Olli Ilpo Salonen and Minka Kuustonen. Salonen studies film directing in Aalto University’s Department of Film, Television and Scenography.

There are altogether four films competing for the best film music Jussi Award: "Tuntematon sotilas" by Lasse Enersen, "Armomurhaaja" by Timo Kaukolampi and Tuomo Puranen, "Ikitie" by Ian Person, Kalle Gustafsson Järneholm, Panu Aaltio and Tuomas Kantelinen. Awards are decided by the Association of Film Professionals, Filmiaura ry. The prizes will be announced at the televised Jussi gala on 23 March.

"Wendy and the Refugee Neverland" is an indie comedy about the 30’s crisis, success and finding the direction. The singer-songwriter and band leader Krisu, presented by Minka Kuustonen, has decided that she has one year to make her dream come true. She works at a large retail store, but is firmly convinced of her success with music.

The band gets an opportunity to perform at one of London's largest indie music festivals. For a long time, the members of the band have had all their hopes in the music. However, first they will have to get an EP record done. However, the thirties’ transition does not go very smoothly.
