Master's Programme in ICT Innovation
The Master鈥檚 Programme in ICT Innovation (EIT Digital Master School) is a European double degree programme for students who want to learn about both the technical and business aspects of information and communications technology. The programme syllabus binds together solid technical courses in computer science and software engineering with business development skills. Backed by , one of the knowledge and innovation communities of , the programme offers study opportunities at top universities in nine European countries. The two-year Master's programme is completed by studying at two of these universities, both eventually awarding a Master's degree to their graduates. At Aalto University, The Master鈥檚 Programme in ICT Innovation is organized jointly by the School of Science and the School of Electrical Engineering. The programme is coordinated by the School of Science.
Aalto University offers four academic majors in the programme:
- Autonomous Systems and Intelligent Robots (AUSIR)
- Cloud and Network Infrastructures and High-Performance Computing (CNIHPC)
- Data Science (DSC)
- The Human-Computer Interaction and Design with Extended Reality (HCID/XR)
All majors include the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Minor.

The Human-Computer Interaction and Design with Extended Reality (HCID/XR) master鈥檚 programme is an interdisciplinary programme where our User-Centred Design approach places the users at the centre of the design process. By combining human aspects with technological and business aspects, we create new products and services for desktop, mobile, and immersive systems with great usability and user experience.
