Donating is easy

Some people donate once in their lifetime, others from time to time, another every year on their graduation day, and someone else has set a monthly donation of a percentage of their income. However you choose to give – and whenever – every euro makes a difference. Each donation is a meaningful act in support of science, art, technology, and business.

Once you've decided to donate:

1. Choose where you want your contribution to go.
   The simplest way to support education and research is to donate ÄûÃʵ¼º½ University as a whole. This ensures your donation is directed where it’s needed most at any given time. You can also choose to support a specific school or field that’s close to your heart.
2. Decide whether to make a one-time or recurring donation.
   Think of it like subscribing to a magazine instead of buying a single issue — recurring donations let you make a lasting impact effortlessly, without having to make separate decisions over and over again.
3. Fill in your contact details.
   We only ask for the essentials: your name and email address. If you wish, you can also provide your personal ID number so we can report your donation to the Finnish Tax Administration for you. Private individuals can claim tax deductions for donations totaling at least € 850 in one calendar year.
4. Complete your payment.
   You can donate via online banking, debit or credit card, or MobilePay.

Donations over €10,000 are made via bank transfer, and a formal deed of donation is always drawn up.

Make giving a habit — take part in the ÄûÃʵ¼º½ Today campaign every May on Aalto University’s name day, set up a regular donation such as one percent of your monthly income, or start a special occasion fundraiser for your birthday and direct your gifts to support education and research.
